WELFARE
Well-being for everyone
We need to improve equality and reduce the feeling of being left out, which is today an experience shared by far too many Europeans. This can be achieved by creating new jobs, and making sure everyone is covered by fair employment terms and conditions. In addition, our actions and solutions to the climate challenge must be socially just.
Nearly 100 million people are currently at risk of poverty or social exclusion in the EU. Poverty can only be fought by strengthening equality and the structures of the welfare state. Adequate public services play an important role in the fight against poverty. The well-being of people and the environment must be the primary objective of all policy.
In order for Europe to increase the well-being of everyone, we must win the global battle against tax evasion. The more we invest in the health, education and social security of our citizens, the more Europe will prosper.
